SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY; SHARE THE ROAD WITH BUSSES

With schools across the county back in session, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reminds drivers about school bus safety.
Stop immediately for a school bus that displays a flashing red light and a stop signal arm. Do not proceed until the stop signal is no longer flashing or visible from the front or rear. If you are on the opposite side of a divided highway (two or more lanes in each direction) you do not need to stop for a school bus traveling in the opposite direction. If you witness a vehicle in violation of stopping for a school bus, you may report the vehicle license plate number to your local law enforcement agency within 24 hours.
