SCHOOL DISTRICT MESSAGE TO PARENTS REGARDING SOCIAL MEDIA THREATS

Good evening MUSD Parents:

The Morongo Unified School District is aware of the Nationwide threats of violence against schools that is currently circulating on TikTok and other social media platforms. We want to assure you, that while there are no specific local threats against our schools, all principals and school administrators are taking precautionary measures at all school sites.

The district is working closely with Captain Niles of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department who is aware of the threats. Any and all credible threats will be assessed.

We are advising that students should take care not to repost threats as they create a cycle of fear that can complicate law enforcement investigations.

If anyone has information on any credible threat, we ask that you immediately contact the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
