The Save the Children fund provides support to struggling children through learning resources and emergency relief. The Morongo Unified School District was recently awarded a $32,000 grant to go towards its summer feeding program during the COVID-19 pandemic. MUSD Superintendent Tom Baumgarten stated that grants such as this have allowed the school district to distribute more than 190,000 meals to the community this summer alone. MUSD has partnered with Save the Children for the past 10 years. The grant was accepted during the last board meeting on July 28.
