SCHOOL DISTRICT, BUS COMPANY STUFFING BUSSES THIS WEEKEND

In case you’re wondering, school starts August 27. Managing editor Tami Roleff has a suggestion on how you can help students and teachers have a successful year…

The Morongo Unified School District and Student Transportation of America are teaming up again for the second annual Stuff the Bus. Last year, the Stuff the Bus program filled two buses full of school supplies for distribution during the coming school year, and this year, they’re aiming to more than double that. From 11-7 on Friday, and 8-3 on Saturday, buses will be parked at Walmart in Yucca Valley, and Dollar General and Rite-Aid in Twentynine Palms. Bring your donated school supplies and help stuff the bus. For more information, call 760-367-9191 extension 4360.
