The Morongo unified School District released a statement Monday (August 9) answering several parent questions regarding the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. All district schools will be reopen beginning Monday (August 23) for 5 full in-person instruction days per week, however parents do have the option of enrolling their student in the district’s remote Virtual Academy program. Students, staff, and faculty will be required to wear face masks while indoors at all school district campuses. Bus transportation will be offered for the school year and masks will be required for students to ride. The full list of answered questions is available below.
Will MUSD offer in-person school for the 2021-2022 school year?
All schools reopen for the 2021/2022 school year on August 23rd for 5 full in-person instructional days per week.
- Will my child be required to wear a face mask?
Yes, the Morongo Unified School District is required to follow the standards set forth by the CDC and CDPH. Those requirements state that both children and adults are required to wear masks at all times while indoors at school site campuses. Masks will be required for transportation to and from schools on busses and in the classroom setting.
- Will the school be providing the masks to my child?
Yes, If your child needs one or does not have one at school.
- Will my child have outdoor recess?
Yes, children will have recess.
