The Morongo Unified School District last night selected a new president and decided to appoint a new member.
The president is Hillary Slotta. And the appointee will replace Ronald Palmer, a long-time member who died November 16, just eight days after being re-elected.
The deadline to apply for the two-year term is 4:30 p.m. January 10, after which interviews will be held and the selected member sworn in at the board’s regular meeting on January 24.
In related business, the board welcomed newly elected member Denise Cohen and newly re-elected member Karalee Hargrove.
