The Morongo Unified School District board of trustees will hold a work study session beginning at 5 p.m. to discuss the results of a new bond survey and a free meal program for students. At 6 p.m., the board will discuss how to fill the seat caused by the resignation of Michael Chlebik. Chlebik, who was appointed after the death of Board member Ron Palmer, sent a later to the County school board saying he was unable to work with the other Morongo Unified Board members. The the board will join the Kiwanis Builders Club in dedicating the new Ron Palmer Technology Lab. The board will then adjourn to closed session to hold a conference with designated bargaining representatives. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board will recognize staff and faculty members who have served the district for 20 years or more. The meeting will be held at Twentynine Palms Junior High School, located at 5798 Utah Trail in Twentynine Palms.
