SCHOOL BOARD TO APPROVE $2.2 MILLION FOR YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD

The MUSD Board of Trustees will hold a work study session beginning at 5 p.m. to review district audits and review student achievement plans for five more district schools (Black Rock High School, Twentynine Palms High School, Yucca Valley High School, and Yucca Valley Elementary School). At 6:30 p.m., the board will adjourn to closed session to conference with legal counsel and labor negotiators. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board is expected to accept a $2.2 million bid for the construction of the Yucca Valley High School track and field improvement project. The board will also update numerous district policies to reflect new California laws. The meeting will be held at Joshua Tree Elementary School, 4950 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
