The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees has a lengthy meeting ahead of it tonight, beginning with recognizing more than 100 district employees. The board will award staff and faculty members, honor employees with 20 to 40 years of service, and say goodbye to retiring employees. At tonight’s meeting, the MUSD Board of Trustees will begin in closed session at 4 p.m. to appoint MUSD Manager Doug Weller as temporary acting superintendent and secretary to the board. The board will then hold a work study session at 4:30 p.m. to further discuss the district’s 2020-2021 budget. In open session at 7 p.m. the board will hold its district employee awards and approve multiple course outlines for MUSD classes.
