At last night’s meeting, the MUSD Board of Trustees discussed the upcoming November election, approving the call for an election that will fill the vacancies of board members whose terms expire in December. The board also approved the proposed 2018-2019 district budget, the Local Control Accountability Plan, and the 2018-2019 district special education program. After the meeting, board superintendent Tom Baumgarten stated that he would be attending the State Allocation Board meeting in Sacramento on Wednesday, June 27, where the future of the old, abandoned Joshua Tree Elementary School property will be decided.
