SCHOOL BOARD REVIEWS GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND SURVEY TONIGHT

The board will hold a work study session starting at 4:30 p.m. to hear the results of a recent public survey on the School District’s efforts to place a general obligation bond on the upcoming November election ballot. The MUSD Board of Trustees will continue its work-study session with a review of student achievement plans for five more district schools (Condor Elementary School, Palm Vista Elementary School, Landers Elementary School, Twentynine Palms Elementary School, and the PLUS Program). At 6:15 p.m., the board will adjourn to closed session to conference with legal counsel and labor negotiators. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board will update a district policy on gifts and grants, receive an update on the district’s copper cabling project, and file notices of completion for re-painting, re-roofing, and flooring installation at various district schools. The meeting will be held at Joshua Tree Elementary School, 4950 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
