The December 16 meeting of the Morongo Unified School District Board of Education gets off to an early 5 p.m. start, with the annual reorganization and a workshop on the Interim Financial Report. Following a 6:20 closed session on pupil, personnel, and legal matters, the 7 p.m. open session begins with a performance by the Twentynine Palms High School Select Choir, and a recognition of Donna Munoz on her retirement as a Board member. The Interim Financial Report for this year and the Annual Financial Report for last year will be presented, followed by a public hearing on statutory facility fees. The action agenda includes formal acceptance of financial reports, and consideration of Board policies on Suspension and Expulsion Due Process, and Charter Schools. The meeting takes place at Joshua Tree Elementary School, 4950 Sunburst.
