SCHOOL BOARD PUBLIC HEARING ON AT LARGE VS. DISTRICT ELECTIONS TONIGHT

0

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education holds a special public hearing tonight for input on transitioning from at-large to district-based elections. The school district is one of several  local government entities threatened recently with legal action should they continue holding at-large elections, which some deem as a violation of the California Voting Rights Act. Tonight’s hearing gets underway 6 p.m. at Joshua Tree Elementary School.
