Following the action of the school board over the weekend, in which it placed Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cecelia English on paid administrative leave, there were two actions at the Tuesday regular meeting that addressed the sudden vacancy. One consent agenda item, dealing with the reassignment to Dr. English of certain financial authority following the resignation of Assistant Superintendent Dave Price was revised before the meeting to remove mention of Dr. English. During the meeting, the Board voted to appoint as acting superintendent Tom Baumgarten, the current assistant superintendent for instructional services.
