Morongo Unified School District board trustee Denise Cohen announced during Tuesday’s MUSD meeting that she would be resigning from the board. Cohen stated that she intends to move away from her home in the Morongo Basin and, therefore, would no longer be able to serve on the board. MUSD Superintendent Tom Baumgarten stated that there will be either an election or an appointment for the seat, depending on the amount of time that remains on the term. Cohen is expected to submit an official letter of resignation during the board’s regularly-scheduled meeting on December 11.
