SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT TO DISCUSS SUPERINTENDENT POSITION, SCHOOL PLANS FOR STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet in person tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School (4950 Sunburst Ave.). The work study session begins at 5 p.m., closed session begins at 5:50 p.m., and open session begins at 7 p.m. During closed session, the Board will continue to discuss labor negotiations, as well as the district’s superintendent position, held by interim Superintendent Doug Weller. Later, as part of the open-session agenda, the board will vote to adopt the School Plans for Student Achievement for Yucca Valley High School, as well as Onaga, Yucca Mesa, Twentynine Palms, and Palm Vista Elementary Schools.
