The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education holds a workshop starting at 4:20 this afternoon in order to answer board questions on some maintenance and operations issues after which principals from Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Friendly Hills and Yucca Mesa elementary schools will present their plans for student achievement. At 6:00 the board will adjourn to closed session reconvening to open session at 7 with a routine consent agenda. On the action agenda, the board will be asked to approve the achievement plans presented earlier, along with several temporary employment positions, an updated non-discrimination policy, some course outlines, and two matters involving board policy.
