The Morongo Unified School District board of trustees will hold a work study session beginning at 5 p.m. to discuss the PLUS Program, a program designed to enhance school safety. The board will then adjourn to closed session to hold a conference with designated bargaining representatives. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board will honor teachers from across the district as part of the Day of the Teacher, conduct a public hearing on tentative agreements reached with the Morongo Teachers’ Association, and discuss renaming the Twentynine Palms Junior High School computer lab as the “Ron Palmer Computer Lab.” The meeting will be held at Joshua Tree Elementary School, located at 4950 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
