SCHOOL BOARD MEETS, APPROVES CONTRACTS, REVISITS BUDGET

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees held an uncharacteristically short one-hour board meeting last night. Reporter Andrew fills us in on what happened…

At last night’s meeting, the MUSD Board of Trustees held another discussion on the school district’s 2020-2021 preliminary budget. After detailed discussions on incomes and expenditures, the board unanimously approved the preliminary budget and will adopt the final budget during its June 30 board meeting. The board also accepted more than $10 million in funding from the State Education Protection Account, approved a new produce contract for the student meal program, approved a contract to a new software company to managing student records, and cast their votes for the CSBA delegate assembly run-off election.
