The Morongo Unified School District recently modernized one of its elementary schools. Reporter David Haldane says that district officials will begin tonight’s board of education meeting by showing it off…
Welcome to the future.
That’s the catchword for tonight’s Morongo Unified School District Board of Education meeting, which begins with a tour of it. Specifically, an open house at Oasis Elementary School in Twentynine Palms, the site of a major modernization project demonstrating everything that district officials believe a new school should be.
The open house is from 5 to 7 p.m., with the board meeting beginning at 6. On its agenda: recognition of area students in honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month, and a review of books proposed for use in AP English classes.
It all happens at Oasis Elementary on the 73000 block of El Paseo Drive.
