The Morongo Unified School District awarded dozens of district employees at last night’s board meeting. Reporter Andrew Dieleman was there to applaud the recipients and files this report…
The MUSD board meeting began at 5 p.m. with a work study session on the PLUS program, a program designed to help students in the Individualized Education Program with basic education while increasing their social skills. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board awarded 47 Classified and Certificated employees within the district as part of “Day of the Teacher” to an audience of more than 150 people, and held a public hearing on tentative agreements reached with the Morongo Teachers’ Association. The board ended the meeting by unanimously voting to rename the Twentynine Palms Junior High School computer lab as the “Ron Palmer Technology Lab.”
