The MUSD Board of Education will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at Joshua Tree Elementary School. The board will first meet in closed-session to speak with designated bargaining representatives. In open session, beginning at 7 p.m., the board will hold two public hearings to seek public input on both the transition to by-trustee area elections and two proposed trustee area maps and the request of a waiver from the State Board of Education to waive a public election on the transition to trustee area elections. The board will also hear the Statutory School Facilities Report and will discuss the Sunshine Report with the California School Employees Association. Joshua Tree Elementary School is located at 4950 Sunburst Avenue in Joshua Tree.
