When the board reconvened to open session last night, it was decided to table the resolution to change the way board members are elected from “at large” voting to district-based voting. Board member Michael Chlebik stated that the issues behind this resolution were so complex they need the extra time for them to make the right decision. The board then recognized six disabled students for their accomplishments in honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month. Each one was awarded a certificate and a gift card and congratulated individually by each board member.
