Morongo Teachers Association (MTA) and California School Employees Association (CSEA) together, announce a School Board Candidates forum this Wednesday, October 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Friendly Hills Elementary School in Joshua Tree. All five candidates running for two open seats have confirmed their attendance to this question and answer public forum. The public is encouraged to attend and to submit questions that can be answered by all candidates: Doris Lawless, Gary Horn, Cindy McVey, Chris Proudfoot and Hilary Slotta. Each will have the opportunity to present their goals and views to the public with a two-minute opening statement, a 45-minute question and answer session and a two- minutes closing statement format.
