At last night’s meeting, the MUSD Board of Trustees recognized La Contenta Elementary School teacher Sara Beth Templeton who used the Heimlich maneuver to help save a student from choking. The board also recognized the accomplishments of seven students from throughout the district as part of National Disabilities Awareness Month, heard a presentation on the district’s state test results, and approved a number of new text books for the district. The board tabled discussions on a board policy concerning district class sizes, recommending a workshop be held before any decisions are made.
