At Friday’s special meeting, the MUSD Board of Trustees heard numerous requests and in-depth plans from leadership and students from all 3 Morongo Basin high schools regarding in-person graduation ceremonies for seniors. After much discussion, the board ultimately agreed to hold both the planned virtual graduation ceremonies on Z107.7FM scheduled for June with modified drive-up graduation events to be directed by the principals of each high school. The board emphasized that the safety of students must be prioritized, ordering each school to adhere to social distancing and limited gathering guidelines for the events.
