MUSD Director of Elementary Curriculum Julie Howard and Director of Secondary Curriculum  Dustin Howard spoke during the Discovery Education Experience on the subject “The Power of Relationships in a Distance Environment,” discussing how district partnerships with youth-serving organizations provided engagement in education during school closure, summer months, and the re-opening of schools. They also discussed the districts use of social media and traditional media to maintain relationships with the community and Superintendent Tom Baumgarten’s constant push for additional technology to close the digital divide.
