In the wake of the tragic death Saturday of the popular local EMT, the Jeff Tabor Memorial EMT Scholarship Fund has been established at Copper Mountain College to honor his legacy.
Tabor, a Copper Mountain College-trained emergency medical technician (EMT) worked in the Morongo Basin caring for neighbors in need. His sudden death in a traffic collision has been hard to comprehend but his friends determined to make something good from something so tragic.
It takes $1,760 to equip and train an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); the scholarship provides a full-ride for a college student to become an EMT.
Donations to the Jeff Tabor Memorial EMT Scholarship Fund at Copper Mountain College Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.
