About 2500 homes are without power today in our Morongo Basin due to scheduled power outages. Southern California Edison turned off power between 5:30 and 5:45 for about 1400 customers in Yucca Mesa, centered around Aberdeen Drive, and just over 1000 customers in Landers, around Belfield Boulevard. The power outage is scheduled to last in both areas until 7:30 tonight.
