SB County Sheriff out on DUI maximum enforcement patrol tonight

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department will be out tonight  from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence (DUI).

Impaired driving isn’t just from alcohol – prescriptions medications and over -the-counter meds can also effect driving, along with recreational and medicinal marijuana.

Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.

It’s a good reminder to play it safe and don’t drive impaired when out enjoying the vast beauty, art and events that our hi-desert has to offer.
