Courtesy photoTwo weeks from today is the 23rd annual Morongo Basin Orchid Festival at Gubler Orchids in Landers. There will be greenhouse tours, a judged orchid show, classes on growing orchids, food, live music, wine and beer tastings, and vendors and booths for community non-profit organizations. Proceeds from food, beverage, and orchid sales will be disbursed among the represented non-profit groups and the Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary projects. The orchid festival will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
