Over 200,000 volunteers nationwide are expected to participate in National Public Lands Day on Saturday, October 6. Attendees should bring their own lunch and then stay for a demonstration by BLM Archeologist George Kline, “Flintknapping: The Art of Making Arrowpoints and Other Stone Tools” from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Those under 18 who are planning to participate in a service project but are unaccompanied by an adult, must contact the preserve 48 hours in advance.
