The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration is giving the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs. On Saturday, October 26 bring your pharmaceuticals for disposal to the Morongo Basin Patrol Station in Joshua Tree between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous. This effort addresses a public safety and health issue. Unneeded medicines are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse, and abuse. Avoid flushing unwanted drugs or throwing them away as this poses potential safety and health hazards. Morongo Basin Patrol Station , 63665 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Joshua Tree 760-366-4175
