San Bernardino County BOS Oct. 25 Agenda

Among the many items on the consent agenda, one item with certain approval is a speed limit reduction in the Mesa area. Canterbury Street between Avalon and Balsa avenues will see the speed limit reduced from 55 to 35 miles per hour.

That action is in response to results from an engineering and traffic survey conducted in April of 2020 following public requests. The survey found that more than 85 percent of motorists traveling that section of residential road maintained a speed of 36 miles per hour… far slower than the current 55 miles per hour, and much faster than the speed at which county government operates.
