SALVATION MOUNTAIN TO GET HISTORICAL PLAQUE FROM CLAMPERS

E Clampus Vitus, also known as the Clampers, an irreverent fraternal organization dedicated to the study and preservation of the American West, will dedicate a plaque at Salvation Mountain in Niland. The plaque will remember the late Leonard Knight, who built the “mountain” honoring God out of straw, clay, and donated paint. A dedication ceremony will be held about 10 a.m. Saturday at Salvation Mountain.
