Two people were arrested after an apparent running brawl that saw two victims terrorized in Yucca Valley Saturday night. At about 9:54 p.m., deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 7300 block of Dumosa Avenue in the town of Yucca Valley. Deputies discovered a disturbance had taken place involving 15 to 20 subjects. Investigators say they attacked a man and a woman in their car, breaking out several windows of the vehicle with rocks while the occupants sat inside. The victims fled the scene, striking a subject with their vehicle in the process. The victims were followed to a nearby residence where the suspects kicked in the front door and broke out windows of their home.
During the investigation deputies determined Brian Silva, 25, of Yucca Valley, and a male juvenile were the primary aggressors. Silva was arrested for an active warrant and investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Brian Silva was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail on $100,000 bail. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact Deputy Miller at the Morongo Basin Station at 760-366-4175.
