RUN FOR LIFE TO SPONSOR “BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS” OPENING FRIDAY

Relay for Life of Morongo Basin will host the opening night gala of Neil Simon’s “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” by the St. Joseph’s Players on Friday, October 10. The play will be performed at St. Joseph of Arimathea Church on the corner of Church Street and Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley. The opening night gala starts at 6 p.m. with heavy hors d’oeuvres before the show, and dessert, coffee, and a silent auction during intermission. Directed by Rebecca Havely, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” is a coming-of-age story set in Brooklyn, New York, in 1937. Tickets for the opening night gala ONLY are $25. After Opening Night, the show will run Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on October 11 and 18, and November 1. Matinee performances at 2:00 p.m. will be on Saturday, October 25, and Sundays on October 19 and 26, and November 2. Tickets are $11.00 for adult general admission tickets. $9.00 tickets are available for Seniors, Military and Students.
The show’s cast includes its director, Rebecca Havely as Kate, Leonard Weber as Jack, Vincent Thomas as Stanley, Trevor Carpenter as Eugene, Shelly Sheckler as Blanche, Elizabeth Schmelling as Nora, and Madison Tuttle as Laurie.
