ROTARY INTERACT CLUB STARTS AT YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley is sponsoring a new service club at Yucca Valley High School. The Interact Club has grown to more than 25 members in its first two months; its faculty advisor is Merl Abel. The club recently held its first elections. Elected as president is Rachel Green; treasurer, Christopher Gilmore; and secretary, Sadie Mecham. The students will help with local projects, such as the annual food drive, the Fourth of July fireworks show, the Christmas light parade, as well as other Rotary projects, such as collecting items needed for villages in Mexico.
