ROTARY FOOD DRIVE EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

The 9th Annual Morongo Basin Rotary Clubs Food Drive was held last Friday (April 29) at the Stater Bros Markets in 29 Palms and the east end of Yucca Valley. Local Rotarians would like to thank the community for helping them to collect nonperishable food items to replenish the shelves of six food pantries in our area: 29 Palms Food Pantry, The Way Station, Alex Rothe Memorial at Oasis Community Church, Morongo Basin Arch, Boys & Girls Club and the Copper Mountain Mesa Community Ctr. Organizer Mary Helen Tuttle said over 318 bags were donated and over $2000 in cash to date.  Cash donations are still being collected and will be given to the pantries at the end of May. If you’d like to donate… Mail a check to the Rotary Club of Joshua Tree Foundation, PO Box 1323, Joshua Tree CA 92252
