Rotary Club of Twentynine Palms welcomes new officers

With the incoming District Governor present to do the honors, the Rotary Club of Twentynine Palms inducted new officers and Board members June 30. Governor Jamie Zinn conducted the ceremony, seeing 2022-23 President Liz Meyer demoted and 2023-24 President Dan Mintz and his board installed.

Zinn reminded the Rotarians gathered at the home of Pat Welch that the individual Rotary Clubs in communities all over the world are the driving force behind their mission to, “Provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.” There are 1.2 million Rotarians in 135 countries, the Twentynine Palms club, chartered in 1948, has 26 members and meets weekly at noon Wednesdays at the Little Church of the Desert meeting room.

The new board consists of President Mintz, Secretary Gary Daigneault, Treasurer Sandy Smith, Past-President Liz Meyer, President elect John Cole, Membership Chairman Pat Welch, Club Service, P.J. Welch, Community Service Randy Councell, International Service Anna Stump, Youth Service John Cole, Club PR/Website Jaymie Wayt, and at-large Frank Luckino.
