Roger Thompson, president of the Hi-Desert Rock Hounds, will talk about the science and history of geology, the rules and regulations of rock hounding and the recreational fun involved in this avocation. Bring your questions and your finds to the Morongo Basin Historical Society’s 2nd Wednesday Lecture series on June 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley. Donation is $5.
