Just when you thought we didn’t have enough road construction going on, Southern California Edison will be replacing an electrical pole along Highway 62 on the Morongo Grade. The pole replacement will require that lanes be closed on the highway between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today, Monday, May 13, and tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14. In addition, traffic will be stopped between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., for up to 30 minutes, on Monday, May 20, Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday May 22. The pole replacement is expected to increase the reliability of power for Twentynine Palms and unincorporated areas of the county.
