Be ready for delays and traffic in Yucca Valley’s eastside. As part of the Hi-Desert Water District’s Sewer Project, construction will take place at the intersection of Warren Vista Ave and Highway 62 near Starbucks and Rite-Aid. Traffic delays are anticipated between today through January 24. Delivery trucks must use an alternate route and avoid using the intersection. The middle turn lanes will be closed at the entrance to the Starbuck’s strip mall off of Highway 62, and across the highway between Rite-Aid and the Town Center Mall. Both sides of the intersection will be reduced to two lanes of traffic. The entrance to the Starbucks strip mall will be closed for night work this Wednesday, November 28, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. For the safety of the workers and the public, motorists are urged to follow detour signs and proceed slowly with caution.
