With the spring comes more off-road activity here in the Morongo basin. ROP Broadcast Student Anthony Benton has some reminders for safe riding…
California offers some of the greatest off road vehicle recreation opportunities in the nation. Of course with the privilege to recreate, comes the responsibility to protect those opportunities for yourself and others .The most obvious safety precaution would be to wear your seat belt, or on a motorcycle you would stress the importance of wearing a helmet, goggles, and boots. Secondly the most important safety rule to keep in mind when off-roading is to be aware of others around you! Just because you are riding out in the desert by yourself doesn’t mean someone else isn’t too, always look ahead of where you are going, be cautious when coming over hills, and know where designated off-road riding areas are.
