Road Improvement projects continue this week in Yucca Valley.
Pima Trail Street Improvements: Grading, installation of curb and gutter and driveways, asphalt pavement, and other incidental work.
Alley – Palm to Grand Street Improvements: Grading, installation of asphalt pavement and other incidental work.
Until Friday, September 4th, Pima Trail will be closed to thru traffic from Palm Avenue heading 700’ west to the paved portion of Pima Trail. Businesses along Pima Trail between Church and Palm should use Church Street for access.
Slurry seal is also going on at various locations, it consists of applying Slurry Seal to the roadway, crack sealing, and well as replacement of obliterated traffic striping and damaged raised pavement markers.
Lane closures for today, Wednesday, September 2nd through Friday, September 4th are scheduled as the final step of traffic striping and replacing markers are completed. Closures include major arterials and collectors, including Buena Vista Drive, Pioneertown Road, Joshua Lane, Sage Avenue, Palomar Avenue, Acoma Trail, as well as Gap Streets located on the west end of Town remaining from the completed HDWD Wastewater System – Phase I street reconstruction.
As with any project, changes in schedules may be necessary due to equipment failures, weather, and many other factors.
