More than 160 Morongo Basin residents—both children and adults—were the victims of sexual abuse last year. The Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services provides counseling and support services to the sex abuse survivors. As part of an effort to raise community awareness, the Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services has teamed up with the organization Bikers Against Child Abuse for a Ride Against Child Abuse through the Morongo Basin on Friday, April 15. The motorcycle ride will begin at 9 a.m. and ride to various schools and community partner organizations to raise awareness of these crimes against children.
