The new officers of the Retired Teachers Association are Gay Smith and Doris Lawless, co-presidents; Cheryl Nichols, first vice president; Merrie Ivy, recording secretary; Doris Bridges, treasurer; Kasey Collver, scholarship; and Moa Lowe, installing officer. The next meeting of the Retired Teachers Association is Friday, November 8, at 11 a.m. in the Joshua Tree Community Center. The program is a presentation by a representative of the Area 9 director of legislation. The Association is collecting donations for middle school and high school students, such as pens, notebooks, and graph paper. Lunch is $20 and reservations are required.
