The former Manager of the City of Twentynine Palms, who the City claimed was quote, “retired” has miraculously unretired and is one of three finalists for the job of City Manger of Kingman, Arizona. When Richard Warne left Twentynine Palms April 15th, a City press release referred to Warne’s “retirement,” even though Z107-7 News found evidence that it wasn’t a voluntary decision on his part. Even as the City claimed retirement, Warne was given a one year’s compensation and benefits package amounting to about $250,000, exactly the terms of his contract with the City in the event of termination for other than a criminal offense. At a special meeting Tuesday, the Kingman Arizona City Council announced Richard Warne was one of three finalists for the City Manager.
