The United States Marine Corps wants to remind the public to respect the Combat Center’s base boundaries when off-roading near the installation. The Combat Center is located just north of Twentynine Palms and is hard to miss when you are in the big city – but pay attention to signs and boundary warnings when you are out recreating north of Sunfair dry lake or exploring Johnson Valley OHV area – the combat center has signs warning desert dwellers to not trespass beyond the base boundaries, and they are enforced.
