REPORT OF STOLEN SECURITY CAMERAS LEADS TO STOLEN MOTORCYCLE

Deputies called out to a home in Twentynine Palms that had its security cameras stolen ended up arresting a resident for possession of a stolen vehicle. Just before 1:30 p.m., a resident in the 7300 block of Araby Avenue called to report that Joseph McGee, 22, had removed the security cameras attached to the house. The caller said McGee lives in a home at the back of the property and admitted to taking the cameras. During the investigation, deputies noticed a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle that was being dis-assembled. McGee said he had purchased the motorcycle for $200 but didn’t have any documentation supporting his purchase. A records check of the motorcycle showed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen in Redlands in 2015. Joseph McGee was arrested for investigation of being in possession of stolen property, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
